Fueling Bright Futures

Inspiring Youth to Choose Education

Every holiday season the staff at Radius join together to raise money to support youth overcoming barriers to help them become leaders in our communities. Because of the combined contributions of our staff and The Radius Group, over the past 3 years we have donated over $57,000 to Pacific Community Resources Society.

ABOUT PCRS

About the Pacific Community Resource Society

PCRS is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth in Surrey through education, employment, housing, substance use, mental health, and family support services. This year our campaign supports Honour Secondary School (HSS), a program of Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS). The school also helps students facing significant challenges, such as homelessness, parenting, or involvement in criminal activity, to find a path toward brighter futures.

THANKS TO YOU

Making a Difference Together

So far, our staff have donated $2,225 towards our $10,000 goal, and we’re just getting started! With 100% of donations matched by The Radius Group, we are able to double the impact of our donations.

DONATION ALLOCATION

Where donations go to inspire education.

New outdoor programming for Honour Secondary School, gets youth excited about school and inspires them to stay engaged with their education. Youth receive weather-appropriate gear that enables them to fully participate—gear they get to keep and use beyond the program.

Every donation also delivers a basket of holiday food/groceries to feed their family. And it provides families with a “Fresh Start” hamper in the new year to bridge the challenging gap between financial relief. Lastly the GrubHub at Honour Secondary is always stocked with snacks, giving students the fuel they need to stay energized and focused on their education.

The Impact

Education as a Choice

Those who work directly with youth have shared that more students are now choosing to pursue their education over other paths and stay engaged in their learning journeys. Supported by Radius’ impact, students are now excited to return to school, participate actively, and work towards their graduation.
