Position Details
As the Director of Business Development – Fire Services, you’ll play a key leadership role in driving the growth of Radius Fire across our current market and into new territories. Focused on strategic expansion, you will lead efforts to secure new contracts for Fire Inspections & Repairs, Fire Monitoring, Fire Safety Plans, Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Installs, and future service offerings developed through innovation and market insight.
You’ll partner closely with Operations to ensure we deliver on our promises, assist in the development and training of an Inside Sales team, and support our Sales & Service team in achieving their sales goals. Your leadership will ensure Radius Fire is not only competitive—but top of mind in the fire protection space.

Job Description
CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and Develop a High-Performing Sales Team
- Build and mentor a passionate, results-driven sales team aligned with the “Customers for Life” vision.
- Provide coaching, support, and performance management to help team members meet individual and team revenue goals.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance check-ins, and accountability meetings using company platforms.
- Develop a strong second-in-command to support succession planning and leadership continuity.
- Oversee ongoing training and development of new and seasoned sales reps and the account management team.
Drive Sales Growth and Revenue Achievement
- Oversee sales strategies that support annual revenue targets across Fire Services, including inspections, repairs, installs, and service offerings.
- Actively participate in quoting, client meetings, and follow-ups to drive pipeline performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop annual budgets and forecasts aligned with organizational objectives, and hold the team accountable to meeting gross profit and expense targets.
Expand Market Presence and Strategic Business Development
- Identify and grow new verticals beyond residential clients while expanding offerings to existing customers.
- Proudly represent Radius at industry events, networking functions, and client-facing activities to strengthen brand awareness and uncover growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns and messaging to support Fire Services business development.
- Innovate service offerings and cross-selling strategies with the Leadership team that deepen customer relationships and increase share of wallet.
Strengthen Customer Retention and Account Management
- Develop and lead a proactive retention program targeting at-risk accounts in collaboration with Inside Sales and Client Relations teams.
- Monitor and report on client attrition trends, identifying causes and creating action plans to reduce turnover.
- Support direct reports in identifying and addressing shifting market dynamics that may affect customer loyalty.
Champion Company Culture and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Promote a value-over-price mindset that emphasizes legendary service and long-term client trust.
- Promote a strong, engaged, and safety-focused team culture centered on Radius DNA fundamentals.
- Foster productive relationships with internal stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and other business units.

Requirements
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Minimum 5 years of senior sales leadership experience, with a proven track record of:
- Building, leading, and inspiring high-performing sales teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results.
- Coaching and developing sales talent (both new and seasoned sales reps).
- Driving strategic sales business plans with an entrepreneurial approach.
- Expanding into new markets and geographies.
- Contributing to marketing strategies and go-to-market plans.
- Reviewing contracts and qualifying leads effectively with the team.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to scale revenue from $20M to $50M over the next 5–7 years.
- Relationship-Driven, excellent networking and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
- Creating retention programs driving long-term customer partnerships.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally to create bundled service offerings, increase share of wallet, and partner with executive leadership to drive growth.
Strong presence in client-facing settings, including:
- Trade shows.
- Industry networking events.
- Client meetings, presentations, and lunch & learns.
Solid financial & business acumen, including the ability to:
- Set and manage budgets.
- Analyze sales performance.
- Drive revenue growth and margin improvement.
- Optimize sales-related expenses.
- Experience in a service-based industry is a strong asset, especially in organizations focused on value-based selling and long-term client partnerships.
- Comfortable navigating Microsoft Office and CRM/sales systems to pull reports and analyze data to make informed decisions.
